Weekend Events Guide: August 1st Edition

Happy weekend! It’s unfortunately looking like it's going to be a rainy one, but that doesn’t mean it needs to be a boring one! Here’s your guide of things to do in and around Garden City this weekend.



Friday, August 1st- The GC Pool is hosting Friday Family Night. Join the Silly Swim Races at 7:30pm and enjoy poolside music and specials at the snack bar. 

Friday, August 1st- The Seventh St. Promenade takes place again starting at 6pm. The band Fivestone will be performing. There will be balloon animals, face painting and outdoor dining. Come and join the fun! 

Friday, August 1st, The Tilles Center presents LIU Post Festival Chamber Orchestra- Orchestral Music for a Summer Evening at 8pm. Tickets are $15. Click here for more details: http://www.tillescenter.org/event.cfm?id=774 

Friday, August 1st- BK Sweeney's Uptown Grille will hold it's weekly Lobster Bake. Enjoy a 2-lb lobster dinner for $31.95

Saturday, August 2nd, Salute to Vets with Tony Orlando and USO Troupe will be at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow. Field 6/6A.

Sunday, August 3rd- catch Family Sundays at the Museum will be taking place at the Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn Harbor. Catch the 1pm docent-led family walk-through of the current exhibition. There will also be art activities for families beginning at 1:30pm. Free with museum admission.
