Weekend Events Guide: March 6th Edition

Another fun-filled weekend in Garden City! Check out the weekend guide below to see what’s going on in and around town:

Friday- Andy Go Bragh will take place once again at the Garden City Casino from 7pm-11pm. The night promises live music, great food and friends! You're sure to have a good time {if you can still snag a ticket, that is.} jps115@aol.com 

Friday- BK Sweeney's Uptown Grille is holding their Friday Fish Fest tonight and every Friday night during Lent. 636 Franklin Ave. 

Friday, Saturday and Sunday- The Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus is in town! Catch a show at Nassau Coliseum on Friday at 7pm, Saturday at 11am, 3pm or 7pm OR Sunday at 11am, 3pm or 7pm. Click here for tickets. 

Friday- Hicks kicks off their Spring Flower and Garden Show, 8am-6pm. Show runs until March 22nd. Learn about the newest gardening trends, tools, products and ideas! 100 Jericho Tpke., Westbury. 

Saturday and Sunday- See Sleeping Beauty at BroadHollow at Elmont. Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 12pm. Click here for tickets. 

Saturday- Head to Applebee's at 1985 Jericho Tpke., New Hyde Park to support the Applebee's Flapjack Fundraiser. This event is part of Garden City Middle School Group's efforts to support our military and the Mary Brennan Inn. 8am-10am. Cost: $10 per person or $40 per family. Come out and show your support for a GREAT cause!

Saturday- Children at Hicks Nursery can plant their own snap pea seed. For children under 12 years of age.  9am-5pm. 100 Jericho Tpke., Westbury. 

Saturday- Head to Hicks to learn "The Easiest Way to have the Best Lawn in Town." You will learn how to use less chemicals {yay!} and how to handle common lawn and insect problems. 10am-11am. Stick around for another talk "Gardening Made Simple" which will help you to achieve a green thumb from 11am-12pm. 100 Jericho Tpke., Westbury.

Saturday- Free craft for kids at the Lakeshore Learning Store on Hillside Ave in New Hyde Park between 11am and 3pm. Click here to find more details.

Saturday and Sunday- The Long Island Children's Museum will be showing "Where I live" for children ages 18 months through four years. Cost: $9 with museum admission. Saturday 11:30 and 2pm. Sunday 11:30 and 2pm. Click here for more information on this production. 11 Davis Ave., Garden City. 

Sunday- Learn about organic gardening and the best organic products for you at Hicks Nursery from 2pm-3pm. 100 Jericho Tpke., Westbury.
